Specifications
We use premium premium vinyl rated for 7+ years of continuous outdoor exposure. Every material is selected for the specific demands of vehicle identification: UV resistance, salt tolerance, and extreme temperature performance.
Vinyl Types
We offer both calendered and cast vinyl depending on the application. Cast vinyl is recommended for curved surfaces and long-term compliance applications.

Cast vs. Calendered: Which Do I Need?
Cast vinyl is thinner, more conformable, and lasts longer. Use it for curved surfaces (vehicle panels, boat hulls) and any application requiring 7+ years of outdoor life.Calendered vinyl is thicker and more economical. It works well on flat surfaces like aluminum signs and flat truck panels. We default to cast vinyl for all compliance lettering products.
Reflective Sheeting Grades
For applications requiring nighttime visibility, we offer three grades of retroreflective sheeting. Higher grades provide exponentially greater visibility at distance.
Engineer Grade (Type I)
Engineer Grade Series
Standard fleet markings, unit numbers, general signage
High Intensity Prismatic (Type III/IV)
High Intensity Prismatic Series
Vehicle conspicuity markings, safety signage, emergency vehicles
Diamond Grade (Type XI)
Diamond Grade DG3 Series
Maximum visibility applications, highway signs, critical safety markings
Durability & Environmental Resistance
Canadian vehicles and equipment face some of the harshest conditions in the world. Our materials are tested and rated for the full range of Canadian environmental conditions.
Environmental Performance
Covers all Canadian climate zones including Northern Ontario and the Prairies
Stabilized against UV degradation; maintains colour fidelity
Tested per ASTM B117 salt spray exposure
Suitable for below-waterline boat applications with appropriate grade
Common contact chemicals for commercial vehicles and heavy equipment
Automated and hand wash resistant; pressure washer safe at recommended distance
Cast vinyl stretches rather than cracks; recovers from minor deformation
Colour Options
Standard colours available for all compliance lettering products. Custom colours available for fleet orders of 10+ units. Remember: regulations require a contrasting colour to the vehicle surface.
Application Guide
Proper application ensures maximum adhesion and lifespan. Every order ships with printed application instructions specific to your product type. Follow these general steps for best results.
Clean the Surface
Wash the application area with isopropyl alcohol (IPA) or a mixture of water and mild detergent. Remove all dirt, wax, oil, and silicone residue. Dry completely.
Check Temperature
Surface temperature must be above 10°C (50°F) for application. The vinyl adhesive needs warmth to bond properly. In cold weather, use a heat gun to warm the surface first.
Position and Align
Use masking tape as a hinge along the top edge. Peel the backing paper from one end, and use a squeegee to apply from the centre outward, working in overlapping strokes.
Squeegee and Seal
Apply firm, even pressure with a felt-edge squeegee. Work from the centre to the edges to push out air bubbles. For rivets and corrugations, use a heat gun at 65°C and press firmly.
Remove Transfer Tape
Wait 15-30 minutes after application, then peel the transfer tape slowly at a 180-degree angle. If lettering lifts, press it back down and wait longer.
Final Inspection
Check all edges are sealed. Verify the lettering is level, legible, and at the correct height. Full adhesive bond develops over 24-72 hours. Avoid car washes for 48 hours.
Fleet Orders Ship Canada-Wide
For fleet or bulk orders, we can group decals by vehicle or unit and include installation instructions for easy application by your team. Call (289) 228-7021 or email for fleet pricing.
Substrate Options
Self-Adhesive Vinyl (Standard)
Pre-spaced, transfer-taped vinyl lettering applied directly to your vehicle, boat, or equipment surface. This is our standard product for all compliance lettering.
Best for: Trucks, boats, aircraft, drones, equipment
