Frequently asked

What are the aircraft registration mark requirements under CARs Standard 222?
Under Canadian Aviation Regulations Standard 222, fixed-wing aircraft display registration marks of minimum 30cm (12 inches) in height on the fuselage sides or vertical tail surfaces, in Roman alphabet characters contrasting with the surface, following the C-F, C-G, or C-I prefix format. Ultralights have separate minimum sizes. Verify current requirements with Transport Canada.
How do I register my drone with Transport Canada?
Drones weighing 250g or more should be registered with Transport Canada through the Drone Management Portal. You receive a registration number that should be affixed to the drone in a location visible without disassembly. Our drone labels are weatherproof and designed for all RPAS categories.
Can I use a paint marker instead of vinyl for aircraft registration marks?
Paint is acceptable, but premium cast vinyl offers precise character sizing (critical for minimum-height compliance), clean legible edges, and clean removal without surface damage if the aircraft is repainted or resold. Our aviation-grade vinyl is rated for aircraft temperature and UV extremes.
