Our Promise

Built to Match the
Published Display
Requirements.

We source-check every product against the applicable Canadian federal or provincial regulation before production. If production differs from the approved proof because of our specification error, we replace it free — no questions asked. We are a private decal and sign supplier, separate from the government licence or application process.

What We Verify Before Production

Our design builders run these checks in real-time so your input is built to match the published display specification before it goes to production.

Size Minimums

Most regulations specify minimum character heights. We verify your lettering meets or exceeds the minimum for the applicable regulation. Note: Ontario O.Reg 424/97 requires the CVOR certificate to be carried in the cab — it does not set an exterior CVOR height minimum. Boat PCL numbers: 3" (75mm). USDOT: legible from 50 feet per 49 CFR 390.21. Aircraft: 12" (300mm). We never produce undersized lettering where a minimum is codified.

Colour Contrast

Regulations require lettering to contrast with the background surface. We produce in colours that ensure clear visibility and legibility, meeting the contrast requirements specified by MTO, Transport Canada, and FMCSA.

Material Durability

Regulations require permanent, durable markings. We use premium cast vinyl and premium intermediate vinyl rated for outdoor use of outdoor exposure, resistant to UV, rain, snow, road salt, and temperatures from -40°C to +60°C.

Format Accuracy

Our design builders validate the format of your input in real-time. CVOR numbers follow the XX-XXX-XXX pattern. Boat licence numbers follow the provincial format. Aircraft marks follow the C-FXXX pattern. If the format is wrong, we catch it before production.

Placement Guidance

We provide clear application instructions based on the regulatory requirements for your specific product type. Both sides of the power unit, both sides of the bow, fuselage and tail — we tell you exactly where it goes.

Permanence

Ontario MTO and other authorities explicitly prohibit magnetic or temporary signs for compliance markings. Our self-adhesive vinyl is permanently affixed to the vehicle, meeting all permanence requirements across jurisdictions.

What If We're Wrong?

Full Refund + Replacement at No Cost

If your compliance lettering fails a government inspection — whether MTO roadside, Transport Canada vessel check, or aviation authority audit — and the failure is due to a specification error in our product (wrong minimum height, incorrect format, non-conforming material), we will:

  1. Replace the product with a corrected version at no cost
  2. Cover return shipping via prepaid label
  3. Rush production to get you back on the road, water, or in the air as fast as possible
  4. Full refund if you prefer a refund instead of a replacement

This guarantee covers specification match only. It does not cover damage from improper installation, expired registrations, or violations unrelated to the physical lettering product (e.g., missing certificates, overweight violations).

Guarantee FAQ

What exactly does your source-check policy cover?

If your lettering fails a government inspection due to a specification error on our part (wrong size, wrong format, wrong material), we will replace the product at no cost and cover the shipping. This covers MTO roadside inspections, Transport Canada vessel checks, and aviation authority audits.

How do you stay current on regulation changes?

We reference the Ontario e-Laws database, Transport Canada bulletins, and FMCSA federal register notices. When a regulation changes, we update our product specifications and design validators before the effective date. All products are reviewed quarterly.

Do you guarantee that I will not receive a fine?

No. We build every product to match the published specification of the applicable regulation, and you should verify your situation with the relevant authority. Fines can also result from expired registrations, missing certificates, or other factors outside of lettering. We are a private decal and sign supplier, separate from the government licence or application process — what we stand behind is that the lettering is made to the published specification.

What if my vehicle colour makes contrast difficult?

Contact us before ordering. We will recommend a vinyl colour that provides the regulatory contrast requirement against your specific vehicle colour. For dark vehicles we use white or silver; for light vehicles we use black or navy. We will identify the compliant option for your application.

How long is the material warranty?

Our standard warranty is outdoor use for outdoor exposure. This covers UV fading, peeling, cracking, and delamination under normal conditions. Reflective products carry the same outdoor vinyl warranty. If the material fails within the warranty period, we replace it free.

Order With Confidence

Every product is built to match the published display requirements and backed by our replacement support policy and outdoor material selection. If production differs from the approved proof because of our specification error, we make it right.
