Fleet Unit Number Compliance Reference
Fleet unit numbers help MTO inspectors and dispatchers identify individual vehicles. Under O.Reg 424/97 s.3, each vehicle in a commercial fleet must display sufficient identification to trace it to its operator. Consistent unit numbering also simplifies CVOR record-keeping โ any incident is tied to the unit, not just the plate.
