Ontario Snowmobile Registration Compliance Reference
Under the Snowmobile Act R.S.O. 1990 c.S.11 and O.Reg 44/95 s.3, every snowmobile operated in Ontario must display its registration number on both sides of the cowl in characters at least 50mm (2 inches) tall. The registration number must contrast with the background colour of the vehicle. MNR officers check for these markings on trail systems and waterways.
Our 2 inch size meets the minimum requirement. The 3 inch is recommended for better visibility and the 4 inch is used for custom decorative numbering on high-visibility builds.
