Operating School Buses in Ontario โ What You Must Display
Ontario Regulation 612 under the Highway Traffic Act requires all school buses to display the operating authority's name, CVOR number, and assigned unit number in letters of specified height. Bus boards must also show passenger capacity and route designation where applicable. These markings must be maintained in legible condition at all times โ faded or peeling lettering is an immediate defect at annual MTO inspection.
Our kits are produced on premium 7-year cast vinyl with UV overlaminate, designed to survive daily outdoor exposure in Canadian conditions. Choose Reflective Vinyl for routes with early-morning or evening departures โ it dramatically increases visibility in low-light conditions and is preferred by many Ontario school boards.
Compliant with O.Reg 612/05 and HTA s.16. Reviewed February 2026.
