Drone Registration Label FAQ

Do I need to register my drone in Canada?
Yes. All drones weighing between 250g and 25kg must be registered with Transport Canada under CARs Part IX. You receive a registration number that must be displayed on the aircraft.
Where do I put my drone registration number?
The registration number must be displayed on the exterior of the drone, visible without tools or disassembly. Common placements include the battery compartment door or underside of the fuselage.
What format is a Canadian drone registration number?
Transport Canada assigns a C-XXXX format registration number (where XXXX is your unique alphanumeric code). This must be displayed exactly as issued.
How big do drone registration labels need to be?
Transport Canada requires the registration number to be legible and permanently affixed. Our labels are sized for maximum readability while fitting standard consumer and commercial drones.
Are your drone labels weatherproof?
Yes. Our drone registration labels use 7-year outdoor vinyl with UV-resistant lamination. They withstand rain, sun, wind, and temperature extremes encountered during flight operations.
