Why Add a Contact Decal to Your Drone?
Drones get lost. A gust of wind, a signal dropout, a low battery — and your aircraft is sitting in a field three kilometres away.
Your registration number identifies the drone in a government database. A recovery decal gives anyone who finds it a way to reach you directly. No database lookup. No phone call to Transport Canada. Just a text or a scan.
This is not a regulatory requirement. It is a practical one. Transport Canada themselves recommend including your name and contact information on your drone.

Recovery Decal FAQ
Is a recovery decal required by Transport Canada?
No. Transport Canada requires a registration number on drones 250g and above. A contact/recovery decal is not required — it is optional and recommended as a practical measure. Transport Canada themselves recommend including your name and contact information on your drone.
Can I put both my registration number and contact info on one label?
Ask for a combined-label quote and include your drone model, number and contact details so we can check legibility and fit.
Will the QR code survive outdoors?
Ask us to confirm a scannable QR size and suitable outdoor material for the surface and exposure you describe.
What if I change my phone number?
A QR code linking to a page you control may let you update contact details without replacing the decal. A printed phone number requires a replacement decal.
What size should I get for my DJI Mavic?
Tell us your exact model and the available flat surface. We will confirm a legible finished size in your quote.
