Ontario owner name and operator certificate boundary
Ontario Highway Traffic Act section 103(1) requires every commercial motor vehicle to show the owner's name on both sides in a clearly visible position. This product supplies a matched two-side set, but the buyer must confirm the owner name, vehicle class, placement and contrast that apply to the vehicle.
Ontario's operator certificate guidance separately requires the applicable certificate or copy to be carried in each in-scope vehicle. The reviewed general provisions do not state a blanket requirement to print the operator certificate number on the exterior. The operator certificate options here are optional customer-supplied fleet references, not a registration, renewal, validation or certification service.
cross-border carrier cross-border marking boundary
For a self-propelled commercial motor vehicle subject to cross-border carrier marking rule, the marking includes the operating carrier's legal or single trade name and the FMCSA-issued number preceded by cross-border carrier. The marking appears on both sides, contrasts sharply with the background and remains legible in daylight from 50 feet while stationary.
Enter the exact current carrier name and cross-border carrier number. We reproduce the supplied text and provide a proof; we do not issue or validate carrier authority.
Standard or reflective material
Choose Standard Outdoor Vinyl for regular business and fleet identification. Choose Reflective Upgrade when added low-light visibility is useful. The reviewed Ontario owner-name rule does not prescribe reflective material, and no material choice by itself certifies legal compliance.
Complete the measured intake
- Select the kit type, vehicle type and material buttons.
- Enter the exact owner, business or carrier name and only the identifiers required by the selected kit.
- Enter the vehicle year, make, model, truck colour and lettering colour.
- Measure the flat usable width and height on both doors.
- Confirm the included maximum size fits and add the proof contact email.
- Upload an optional straight-on door photo and add production notes.
The paid order carries the selected variant and intake into one production proof. Proof approval confirms supplied text, layout, colour and measured fit; it does not determine which laws apply to a particular operation.

Questions buyers ask
What size is included with commercial truck door lettering?
Pickup and service-truck orders include a matched pair up to 24 x 12 inches per door. Van, straight-truck, box-truck, dump-truck, tow-truck and tractor orders include a matched pair up to 30 x 15 inches per door. The final height remains proportional to the approved wording and measured usable panel.
What does Ontario require on a commercial truck?
Ontario Highway Traffic Act section 103(1) requires the owner's name on both sides of a commercial motor vehicle in a clearly visible position. Use the owner name that applies to the specific vehicle and confirm its fit and contrast during proof review.
Is a CVOR number required on the outside of every Ontario truck?
The reviewed general Ontario provisions require the applicable CVOR certificate or copy to be carried in an in-scope vehicle but do not state a blanket exterior CVOR-number rule. The CVOR options on this product are optional customer-supplied fleet references.
What is included in the USDOT cross-border kit?
The cross-border kit reproduces the customer-supplied legal or single trade name and USDOT number as a matched two-side set. The buyer must provide text that matches the current carrier record; this product does not issue or validate operating authority.
Which truck types can I select?
Choose Pickup or Service Truck, Van, Straight Truck, Box Truck, Dump Truck, Tow Truck or Tractor. The selected vehicle type controls the live price and included maximum layout size.
Is reflective truck lettering mandatory?
The reviewed Ontario owner-name provision does not prescribe reflective material. Reflective Upgrade is an optional visibility finish. For an in-scope US marking, sharp colour contrast and 50-foot daylight legibility are the stated performance requirements.
