Choose the package that matches the available aircraft panel

The 3-inch package is intended for eligible ultralight or amateur-built side-marking work where the aircraft category, available structure and current marking requirements support that finished height. The 6-inch package is a structure-limited side pair for aircraft where a larger standard side treatment does not fit the available panel. The 12-inch package supplies a larger standard side pair for suitable aircraft surfaces.

A replacement package adds removal tools for an existing faded or damaged side pair. The two-aircraft and five-aircraft packages coordinate multiple customer-supplied marks in one proof-controlled order. Each aircraft still needs its own exact mark, placement context and surface review.

Supply the current mark and aircraft context

Enter the exact registration mark as it appears on the current source document, including the C-F, C-G or C-I prefix. Add the aircraft type and model, aircraft category, whether lower-wing or lower-fuselage marks already exist, and the requested side placement. This information keeps the purchased package connected to the intended aircraft during proofing.

A straight-on placement photo and current registration document or written owner confirmation are required. The registration source is used to reproduce the buyer-supplied mark; Compliance Lettering does not issue, reserve or alter an aircraft registration identifier.

Measure the usable area before checkout

• Measure the flat usable panel width and height in inches.
• Exclude access panels, rivet lines, vents, seams, hinges, handles and damaged coating from the usable area.
• Provide the aircraft surface colour and one contrasting solid vinyl colour.
• Use the placement photo to show the whole proposed area straight on, not only a close crop.
• If the location, panel size or coating compatibility is unclear, the job stays in manual review.

Material and package contents

The supplied artwork contract calls for premium cast solid-colour cut vinyl with transfer tape applied. The visible letters are cut from one contrasting colour without a printed background, and reflective material is not the default. The proof confirms the exact mark, selected package, colour and general layout before production.

The standard package is a matched side pair. Transfer tape keeps each line aligned for application. The replacement package adds basic removal tools; it does not include paint repair, installation labour, coating testing or removal of markings that cannot be taken off safely.

Under-wing and 50 cm work remains quote-only

Under-wing marks, 50 cm finished characters, uncertain placement and unverified surface or coating compatibility are not normal self-serve variants. A 50 cm finished letter is approximately 19.68 inches high, leaving insufficient operating margin on the current 20-inch production path described in the supplied production boundary.

Private supplier scope

Compliance Lettering is a private decal supplier. This product supplies custom-cut registration-mark lettering and a proof workflow; it does not register an aircraft, reserve or issue a mark, certify the aircraft, approve placement or represent a government authority.

The aircraft owner or maintainer remains responsible for checking current requirements, confirming the aircraft category and source document, choosing a suitable location, checking paint or coating compatibility, approving the proof and completing final installation or arranging qualified installation.

Regulatory standard & guarantee

Letter height, stroke width and contrast are produced to the requirements of CARs 222 (Canadian Aviation Regulations Standard 222). Every side-pair kit is cut and assembled Made in Canada from premium cast vinyl, and is backed by a 7-Year outdoor guarantee against fading, cracking or lifting under normal aircraft exposure.
